The Border Collie Chronicles

Observations from (arguably) the World's Smartest Dogs;
(but, without question, the bestest friends!)
or, Life As We Understand It, as told from dad's shop.

That'd be the Vernal Equinox & Daylight Savings Time …
You Know ... Spring!

What a WONDERFUL time of year … life is emerging from the cold, dark winter … old creatures (like dad - mom-D is still hibernating!) start stirring … new creatures emerge … the cycle of life continues … it’s fabulous!

Of course, dad spends more time outside with us (and we really like that!) and we get to spend more time chasing rabbits (or whatever else we can find) and swimming!  (Uncle PF is worried about Merritt swimming in circles, but she uses her tail as a rudder pretty well!)

We think that it is that ol’ vernal equinox (and daylight savings time) is what it is that get us all fired up – must be how the sun rays hit certain things - or something else …

Some folks have noticed that we haven’t put out any new articles lately … sorry!  We’re just not in a mood to write … we’re enjoying all of the sunshine, good times, and bupps that we have around (making the memories of tomorrow, dont'cha know!)!  Here are some pics of us having fun!  We’ll try for an article again next week – but no promises!

Hey ... Life Is Good!!!!!

Love To You All!

Some Random Things To Think On ...

People who take time to be alone usually have depth, originality, and quiet reserve.

John Miller

I've always believed that you can think positive just as well as you can think negative.

Sugar Ray Robinson

I always remember an epitaph which is in the cemetery at Tombstone, Arizona. It says: 'Here lies Jack Williams.  He done his damnedest.'  I think that is the greatest epitaph a man can have - When he gives everything that is in him to do the job he has before him.  That is all you can ask of him and that is what I have tried to do.

Harry S Truman

Money will buy a pretty good dog, but it won't buy the wag of his tail.

Josh Billings

Bacon is so good by itself that to put it in any other food is an admission of failure. You're basically saying, 'I can't make this other food taste good, so I'll throw in bacon.'

Penn Jillette

We weren’t sure that dad had enough beer to make it through that first full day of daylight savings time when the temperature was up around 90!  But we did ... Thanks D!
