Bubbster!!

Mr. Bubb – that is!

On March 25, 2021, my Big Buppy was on the hunt and was chasing something out in the front when he apparently had a heart attack and dropped and died right there on the spot. 

Bubba was birthed by the famous Rooney back in February 2010 right here on this place.  He was originally “christened” Riggs (after a pioneer family of our hamlet).  However, due to his size and early behavior, he quickly became Bubba!  He went by several names during his life:  Big Boy; Buddy; Chewy; Buppy; and Freakishly Huge Monster Dog, among others. 

He was a littermate of Ms. Annie.  He was a freakishly HUGE puppy and grew into a freakishly HUGE dog.  He simply adored dad and loved his big sister Gall.  He was the only boy BC that has ever lived on the place.

Bubba was chronically Joyous and Happy!  He was always ready for an adventure (and every day always seemed to be an "adventure" for him) ... Well, Bless His Heart! 

Throughout his life, he remained all puppy and all boy!!  Bubba was so sweet and gentle of heart with people he encountered and protected his family to the 9^th degree!

One of Bubba’s greatest gifts was his ability to hug – but he really only ever hugged dad – though others tried, in vain, to get that oh so special Bubba hug!

Though we often picked on Bubbs and poked fun at his intelligence, he was, without a doubt, very deep and was also the most prolific BC when it came to the stories on this site.  There remain a number of articles that were written and ready to publish – these will still be published posthumously.

Your dogs are just dogs … to me.

My dogs are just dogs ... to you.

But to each of us ... individually,

Our dogs hold a very special place in our hearts and our homes.

And that makes all of our dogs an integral part of our family.
